Sunday 20 Jul: It has been 6 years since Silk Way Ilyushin IL-76TD-90VD visited Sydney Airport, and the aircraft still looks to be in great condition. 4K-AZ101 was delivered to Silk Way on 10 JUL 2008, and has carried a "20 Years" sticker since Nov 2021.


Saturday 19 Jul: Only delivered on 26 JUN 2025, the very first Airbus A321Neo XLR has been out operating training flights from Sydney to Brisbane and Melbourne. Passenger services will begin at the start of September. VH-OGA is seen here departing Runway 34R at Sydney Airport for Brisbane.


Saturday 12 Jul: US Army Chinook and Blackhawk helicopters were based at the Holesworthy Military Base in the lead up to the Talisman Sabre 2025 Exercise. Both Types conducted training exercises including fly-passes along Sydney Harbour, and ship boarding with the Manly Ferry Queenscliff. Seen here is Chinook 21-02929.

Wednesday 18 Jun: Finally Qatar B777-300ER A7-BEK has visited Sydney carrying the "Paris Saint-Germain Livery" livery


Monday 16 Jun:Also visiting Sydney in the lead up to the Talisman Sabre 2025 Exercise was the amphibious transport dock USS San Diego (LPD-22), which presented an opportunity to catch rare shots of the Bell AH-1Z SuperCobra. Also on deck were a number of Bell UH-1Y Venom.


Saturday 14 Jun:The US amphibious assault ship (LHA 6) USS America is visiting Sydney this weekend, and there were plenty of aircraft Types to be seen on the deck. These included the Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II, Osprey MV-22, Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion, and Sikorsky MH-60S Knighthawk. The ship will participate in the Talisman Sabre 2025 Exercise off the Queensland coast.


Wednesday 11 Jun: We are starting to see Korean Airlines operating aircraft in their new "Bold" livery, with B777-300ER HL8008 operating today's KAL401/402 service from Incheon Seoul.


Wednesday 2 Apr: The first A220-100 ACJ corporate to visit Sydney, and probably Australia, arrived at 2200L last night. The aircraft is operated by Comlux Aviation for Five Holdings based in Dubai, and is the first private A220 ACJ off the production line.


Tuesday 1 Apr: Looking very smart touching down on Runway 16L this morning was Gulfstream G650 9H-NATHO, operated by Avcon Jet Malta


Saturday 22 Feb: Global 7500 N117TF arrived from Palm Beach Florida via Honolulu this morning, and this would have to be one of the best Corporate Jet liveries I have ever seen. The aircraft was painted & completed in Oberpfaffenhofen Germany, in the General Atomics Aerotec facility, by airbush artist Igor Amidžić, and the level of detail in this "Space Theme" is just incredible. The artwork on each side of the aircraft is different, with the port side having the Moon on the tail, and the ET Bicycle Scene on the winglet, while the starboard side has a Comet on the tail, and Starship Enterprise on the Winglet. Wednesday 1 Jan: The second of the two Ex. Qatar Cargo B747-8F to now operate with UPS, paid a visit to Sydney Airport this afternoon. N634UP operated the UPS34 service from Honolulu, and entered service with UPS without being painted in the UPS livery (just the Qatar Cargo titles have been removed for now) - View More Images Of The Arrival


Tuesday 31 Dec: Today Turkish Airlines operated their 400th Aircraft on the THY174 Istanbul-Kuala Lumpur-Sydney service, with the A350-900 TC-LGH having an appropriate logo to mark this significant milestone - View More Images Of The Arrival


Tuesday 10 Dec: The inaugural Turkish Airlines Istanbul to Sydney service was operated on Friday the 29th November, and is now operated by their A350-900 on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The first two services were operated by the B777-300ER, however the standard equipment on this service is now the A350-900. The THY174/THY175 services currently operate via Kuala Lumpur, however when Turkish receive their Long Range A350-1000 aircraft, the service will be direct.


Wednesday 14 Aug: The Australian Olympic Team arrived home this morning from Paris via Perth, and their Qantas B787-9 Dreamliner VH-ZNH taxied straight to Hangar 96, where Family, Friends, and the Media were waiting to greet them. Once the aircraft was inside the hangar, the doors were closed, and the celebration began. What a treat to welcome the Athletes home, and congratulate them on the achievements. Tuesday 12 Mar: United have swapped one of their two San Francisco B777-300ER services to the B777-200ER, which started on the 17th February, and should run until the end of March.
